Hot Wheels Retro Line

This is the Target Exclusive Retro Hot Wheels series one of two. This series is found with play sets, one of which is the Sto & Go play set that was very popular back then. This set is sold only at Target at a price of $1.29, a low cost as compared to other separate Hot Wheels lines. This set debuted around April of 2016 and the other series is set to debut around August of 2016. This first set includes: Volkswagen SP2, 87 Toyota Pickup, 68 El Camino, Twin Mill, 84 Hurst Olds, 77 Plymouth Arrow, Power Pipes, and Battle Spec.

2013 Hot Wheels At Target?

Finding 2013 cars at Target in 2016, a mystery begins? It seems as if someone has decided that it is a good idea to return or exchange their old 2013 Hot Wheels models to get new 2016 models for free. As seen in the photos below there are 9 models from the 2013 mainline that were likely returned or exchanged to Target since there is no codes for the cars. It is a shame that there is someone doing this and taking away new cars from people that are willing to purchase them. Hot Wheels Fails At Walmart

While toy spotting for the K case of Hot Wheels, I came across these fails. First, Walmart employees have taped the plastic box with the Tesla Model S, which no longer had the original blister, to another blister for a different car. This seems to be done to replace a stolen Ford Shelby GT350R. Next, the Monteracer has the wrong set of front wheels. Finally, the mystery models that are out now in the U.S. were replaced with a bunch of models taped in their plastic boxes without blisters. Matchbox 2016 D Case Highlights

 It is time once again to see the great models that Matchbox is releasing this year. This case also has some great repaints of previous models and some new models for 2016 that should highlighted. First is the repaints for 2016: Road Raider, the Dodge Charger Pursuit, the City Bus, Dessert Thunder V16, Dirt Smasher, the Jeep Wrangler Super-lift, and Vantom. The new models in this case for the 2016 mainline include Swamp Commander, Sea Hunter, and the Toyota Prius Taxi. Matchbox 2016 C Case Highlights

Another great case of cars from the Matchbox team. In this case comes the repaints of the Ford F-350 Ambulance, MBX Swisher, the Tesla Model S, BMW M5 Police, and the Cadillac One Limo.  Other models in the case include: Bay Brigade, Frost Fighter, Rock Shocker, Ground Grabber, and Power Lift. This case also includes some new models for the 2016 line which are: Road Mauler, the Zamboni, and Wing Chiller.

Matchbox 2016 Mystery Models

Toys R Us has released a new set of retro style mystery models. These models in this set can be found in the basic line of matchbox but, theses mystery model boxes are exclusive to Toys R Us. This retro style set provides collectors with a different look of packaging for the same basic cars. The retro mystery models are a set of 12 different cars and come in a small shelf display box of 24 cars. The models found in this set include:

Matchbox 2016 B Case Highlights

Matchbox continues to bring it in 2016 with theses cars found in the second case for 2016. First, a new model for 2016 is the Freightliner M2 106 fire truck. Also, Malibu Marauder is another new model for 2016. In the rest of this case are new repaints for previous models, the 15 Ford F-150, Rain Maker, and Pierce Dash fire truck. A unique model in this case is Quick Sander that is displaying the Michael Heralda's design found on the recently released hot wheels Ford Fiesta. Additional models that are not shown below found in the case include Road Mauler (new model for 2016), MBX Swisher, Frost Fighter, and the Cadillac One limo.
